I haven’t had a weekend to just sit around and…well, do nothing…in over 3 weeks now. And now that I have one, I have no idea what to do! The Xsan at work is still not working, so no one could come into work this weekend. And it just kind of urks me. I mean, I like having time to relax and all. But I came all the way up here to work…not to relax. Hell I could be relaxing back in Savannah and be much more content than in this hotel room flipping through the 3 English channels.
Thank god for Alluc.org, that’s all I can say. It’s letting me catch up on all the movies I didn’t see, like “Stranger Than Fiction” (Which was really good by the way), and “The Departed” (Which they’re making a sequel and a prequel to), etc. But still…I’m bored. Maybe I’ll go get some more Timbits from Tim Hortons later on? God I love those damn things.
It’s weird to think that by this time next week I’ll be on my way back to good old U.S. of A. And I really can’t wait. I wasn’t all that patriotic about the States until I went on this trip. Now I want to put on a jean jacket, tie an American flag bandanna around my head, and just jam out to some Springsteen. And it’s even weirder to think that in a month from now I’ll be 23. God that’s strange. Speaking of strange, did you know that the Happy Birthday song is copyrighted? So every time you sing it, you really should be paying someone royalties. Weird huh? Think about that the next time someone sings “Happy Birthday to you…” I know I will.
Anyway, that’s about all that’s going on right now. Jess is loving her new job,
Roxy and Goo are crazy as ever (I’m watching them chase each other on the web cam right now), and I’m itching to get back to work. It’s going to be a crazy week coming up…16 hour days…but I’d rather be working than just sitting around. Oh and on March 1st, if you have an IMax theater close by, go and check out the movie! “Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia”. It’s all in 3D and should be pretty damn cool.
Alright, I hope everyone is doing well! Talk to you soon.
I told you so, Doug, Tim Horton’s the best especially those darn Timbits. Try to find ‘m in the States: you’ll have a reason to come back!
You didn’t bring your sleeping bag for coming week? I’ve got mine! Let’s just hope the fruit company gives us some answers!
