fractal matter interview
Well I’ve finally wiped all the egg off of my face from me totally buying the camera that could photograph 1,191 days into the future. But can you blame me for falling into their little trap? I mean how cool would that have been if that was real! The same goes for light sabers too. When am I going to get a real light saber Lucas? Preferably in blue please.
Anyways, to follow up my little embarrassment I found an article on FractalMatter.com about Andrew Orloff and his work at Zoic on “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”. If you’re not familiar with Andrew, he’s a Visual Effects Supervisor over at Zoic Studios. And the author of one of my favorite VFX blogs, VFXHack.com.
If you’re a friend of mine, then you’ll know how big of a fan I am of the work done over at Zoic. Especially if you’ve seen my desk at work. I have a Cylon Bust and a die-cast Battlestar next to my CRT monitor. So needless to say, if Zoic is doing the VFX…I’m excited. And from everything I’ve seen this new series looks pretty top notch. So enough rambling, go and check out the article! And set your TiVo to record the pilot on January 14th.
From executive producers Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds) and David Nutter (Supernatural, Smallville) comes The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The series picks up Sarah and John’s life from the end of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, as they now find themselves in a very different world. Have they changed the future by destroying Sky Net or have they just evaded the inevitable? The series stars an outstanding cast, familiar to both television and film viewers, which includes Lena Headey (The Cave, 300) as Sarah Connor, Thomas Dekker (Heroes) as John Connor and Summer Glau (Serenity, Firefly) as Cameron, and behind the show and Zoic Studio.
