"Cars, cars, and oh ya...more cars!"

2008 Showreel

Mustang Burnout

After the success of the Ford F150 and Mustang Productions projects, Speedshape was awarded the job known around the hallways as ‘Mustang Burnout’.

A two phase production featuring photo-realistic environments, factory accurate color shifting, and more FumeFX smoke than you can shake a stick at. The goal of this spot was to not only show how aggressive the brand is, but also just how beautiful the car looks.

Aveo Web Tour / Tahoe Hybrid

Examples of the 2009 web tours we did for two very different brands. The Aveo was designed to be branded for a younger crowd, who really seemed to love how affordable. But also how cool this little car looks.

On the other side of the coin you have the Tahoe Hybird. Which really needed to convey an new environmentally friendly vehicle, but one that was also down to earth and wouldn’t break your bank.

Ford F-150

These shots are from the CG vehicle demos we did for the new 2009 F-150. The client was looking for a ‘raw’ look, which was a challenge to maintain that feel while also not mucking up the truck too much. But in the end we achieved a look that you can almost feel the dust in the environment, but also can still gleen that new car small as well.

The All New 2010 Camaro

This is the intro sequence for the 2010 launch site we did for the Camaro. I was responsible for not only the usual compositing and look development, but also the HUD graphics design and incorporation. Which was achieved through a 3D system in Nuke.

Chevy Masthead

The hero shot for the Chevy Masthead campaign we did for their all new line of vehicles coming out 2010, including the new Chevy Volt. I composited the piece as well as designed the graphic logo reveal and ripples that were achieved in the 3D system inside Nuke.

Mustang Productions

The title sequence for Mustang Productions, a production company that was formed for a film contest tieing into the NBC premiere of the ‘Knight Rider’ reboot reboot. This was another one of those ‘make it cool’ projects, which I always love.

Intel ‘Sponsors of Tomorrow’

For this project I got to flex some serious green screen muscle. And when I say serious…I mean 83 shots needed to be roto’d and keyed in 3 days. Crazy I know, but a ton of fun as well. Because in order to hit this very narrow deadline I got the opportunity to do some more training with our general digital artists in the finer points of pulling a key. Allowing us to all work in tandum and meet this very tight deadline. This project also gave me my first opportunity to use RED’s .r3d files.

Responsibilities: Compositing, Look Development, Rotoscoping
