So after presenting all the work done thus far for ‘Golden Goodbye’ to a group of Visual Effects students and faculty, I retreated to the woods for a weekend. We were in a valley so my cell phone didn’t. I.E. I couldn’t do any work what so ever or be contacted about work. It was so nice. For the first time in a long time my head was actually quite. No thoughts, what so ever. All I was concerned with was food, water, and warmth. Oh and of course not getting attacked by some woodland creature. But that was is it, and now I’m back to finish up the last remaining shots for Rocky Ridge, and then I’m moving onto the Witch’s Hut. Then after that all we have are the Pirate Ship shots and we be done. Well…it definitley sounds easier than it’s going to be. We still need to render off the mattes for the window replacements in the Witch’s Hut, do some more matchmoving, and then…of course…build the 3D pirate ship. But, it can and shall be done.
Plus we’re finally getting some really good buzz going around Hamilton and Montgomery Hall after the presentation last week. But, we’re not out of the woods yet…
So here we go, back into the fray. At least now I can think clearly, and I have the continued support of a small, but great team working hard to make this flick look great.
