I saw the promo for The History Channel’s “Life After People” about a month ago while waiting for a movie in a theater. It still freaks me out to see commercials before a movie, but that’s besides the point. It made my inner history geek just get all a twitter, and the visual effects looked pretty damn cool. But what else could be expected from the good people over at Eden FX, other than top notch television effects?
I really think it’s just another example of the narrowing gap between feature and television work. There used to be such a stigma about working in television effects. But honestly, I’m much more impressed with the guy that can do the same quality of effects on a shoe string in 1 week, rather than the artist who gets a huge budget and 2 months.
So go check out how the “little guys” work their magic by following the links after the break. Great work fellas!

So set your TiVo’s everyone! It aires tonight at 9pm on the History Channel.
Now the hard decision…do I watch “American Gladiators” first, or this? Eh, probably Gladiators. Do you think Titan just dunks his body into a vat of baby oil before each match? I sure hope so…hilarious.

‘What cha gonna do brotha?!’
