A co-worker of mine at the studio, who’s also an awesome Quadcopter designer, wanted to show case his brand new  180 frame. So, that’s where I came in! It was a really fun project that I got to use some scrap Red Texas Cedar that I had lying around, as well as a brand new Shou sugi ban wood finishing technique. It seemed fitting because his Neato 180 frame is carbon fiber, and the Shou sugi ban techinque (aka Burnt Cedar) gave the shadow box a nice old school carbon finish.
