happy halloween!

Does anyone else think that it’s in bad taste to have a giant ghost decoration above the entrance to the ‘Savannah Cancer Hospital’? I don’t know, just doesn’t seem in good taste to me. Anyways, how is everyone doing? Happy Halloween! Today was pretty laid back beside an emergency re-render of some quicktimes for ‘Baby Blues.’ But that’s just how movie making is, so it’s no big deal. My teacher Dave wore this skeleton mask to class today and I just thought it was hilarious to see a skeleton carrying a briefcase and talking about motion capture.

Jess and I carved an awesome pumpkin today too. His name is Franklin.

We spent half the day without internet today because Comcast messed up my account. Took 3 hours to get it straightened out, got disconnected twice, and then they screwed up my modem. I finally just told them I would fix it by myself and hung up. ‘But you can’t really fix it, we need to schedule a service visit’ ‘No, no. I’m ok. I’ll fix it, thanks.’ And whala! I fixed it. I hate Customer Service, they always sound condescending and rarely help.
Yesterday I did a presentation for this Visual Effects Supervisor who just got done doing ‘The Gaurdian’. It was pretty cool and he seemed very into the stuff I’ve been doing. Which is very gratifying. Hilde from Trading Spaces was there too (don’t ask me why), along with a few too many board of trustees members. I had to pose for photographs and smooze, which I just absolutley hate. But I got an awesome ‘Last Samurai’ VSFX Crew t-shirt out of the deal. So that was pretty cool.

1 week and counting till my Egyptian Art History: Hatshepsut paper is due. I only have 1 more page to go, and then I have to go in a site all my sources. I’ll get it done though. I just hate this pointless class.

Anyways, that’s about all that’s been going on lately. The Savannah Film Festival is under way and I couldn’t be less excited. It’s really a let down this year.

Alright, well I hope everyone out there has a happy and safe Halloween! Watch out for those razer blades in candy apples…
