Actually I don’t have any tricks to play on anyone, because I’ve never really liked April Fools day. I always seem to forget about it until someone does something and then I just end up being suspicious of everything and everyone for the rest of the day. Anyway..

Allot has happened since I turned 22. As of a couple days ago, all the Visual Effects for ‘Golden Goodbye’ are officially finished. And as of this Sunday, I’ll have officially signed on to do my next film. And the kicker is…I’m getting paid. That’s just incredible to me. I mean, I’ve been doing this stuff for free for so long that the thought of getting paid to do something I would do for free just blows my mind. It’s called ‘Baby Blues’ and it’s a Horror film about a Mother who suffers from postpartum depression and starts to kill her kids. I really can’t go into much more detail than that, but think ‘The Shining’ meets ‘High Tension’ (without the completely ridiculous twist at the end) and a dash of ‘The Devil’s Rejects’. So, needless to say…I can’t wait to get started! It’s a complete shift in terms of the work I did for ‘Golden Goodbye’ and it’s going to make my reel hilarious. I mean, think about it. That’s a reel that stays with you. A kid’s film, intercut with hardcore horror. It’s going to be awesome.

Anyway, I’ll be going with the Director and the Writer up to the location this Sunday and I’ll be signing a contract. I’m really excited and I’ll keep you all posted as things progress. Which things will be progressing fast since we start filming in 12 weeks, and go throughout the rest of the Summer.

Oh and in other news, ‘Golden Goodbye’ is officially going to be picture locked in 3 weeks. Then for the rest of this quarter, it’s going to be all Sound and Music. So come May, keep your eyes peeled for posters around SCAD.
