I’m test driving the new Firefox 3, and I must say…I’m digging the ghosted image effect when you click and drag a .jpg. But what can I say? I’m a sucker for silly GUI visuals like that.
Anyways, just about to go to bed. But I wanted to post a link to character designer extraordinaire, Aarom Sims. His most recent creature gig was ‘The Incredible Hulk’. But if you dig around his portfolio you’ll find work dating all the way back to his days at Stan Winston studios during the production of ‘AI: Artificial Intelligence’. Which with the recent passing of Stan, makes this post all the more relevant.
Anyways, I’ll quit babling now and just let Aarom Sims’s work speak for itself. But needless to say…he’s very talented, and very inspiring. Though I must say, his about me section has the word ‘genius’ used one too many times for my taste. But oh well…that’s Hollywood for ya.
Aaron Sims is one of the most innovative and versatile concept artists working in films today. To industry insiders, he is revered for his multi-faceted approach to creature development and design. To audiences, he is the genius behind many of today’s most memorable movie monsters.
And with that…goodnight.
