Today, as the title suggests, was a good day. Everything just seemed to go right, and it was…well…nice. I turned in the first 16 shots of ‘Baby Blues’ today, and everyone was very happy with what we all had done. Truth be told, so was I. I’m the most proud of the work I did for this film than anything else I’ve done so far. And that’s a good feeling to have. I also finally got my ‘Evening with Kevin Smith’ DVD, which I’ve been waiting on for almost 2 weeks. And it seems the Amazon people liked me so much that they sent me a free copy of ‘Inventing the Abbots.’ That’s right…FREE. I don’t really care for the movie all that much, but come on…it was FREE! And that’s all that matters to me. You just gotta love weird shipping errors.
Jess and I also ‘cheated’ and went for a couple burgers at B&D. God they were amazing. But I will admit I felt guilty. We’ve been doing so well on this diet that I felt like I was giving into temptation. But once again, god they were amazing. So that feeling of guilt quickly got washed away with a nice tall Diet Coke.
I also got some really good reactions to my new reel in my Portfolio class. It was choc full of new ‘Baby Blues’ footage and it just blew everyone away. Which made me feel really good. For the most part I’ve flown under the radar for 4 years at SCAD. So it was nice to finally get alittle recognition for all the hard work I’ve been doing. I’ll be posting the new reel over the weekend, so stay tuned. Now I just need to hope that it’ll blow the HR people away as well. Fingers crossed.
Oh, and I also skipped my Egyptian Art class again. Yes it is the second time in a week that I skipped it but I had to tie up some loose ends before my 5pm deadline. So I just stayed home for a couple hours, rendered, ate some Chili, and watched ‘Battlestar Galactica Season 2.5′.
So ya…it was a good day. And I savored it. Alright, I’m going to go watch some Kevin Smith with Jess. Talk to you all soon…I’m one lucky guy.
