There’s a really great article over at Variety.com with James Cameron talking about the ins and outs of the 3D Stereoscopic workflow that he’s using on ‘Avatar.’

I worked in a similar pipeline up in Canada on ‘D3D’ last year, and I’m still amazed at how far we’ve come in that short of time. It’s grown from a niche market to having a full blown Nuke solution for the entire process. It’s a phrase said a lot in this industry but “God I wish we had that tool back in the day”.

As a little side note, we’re leaving tomorrow morning for our Caribbean vacation. So I won’t be writing any new posts until we get back next weekend. But don’t worry, I’ll pore one out for you all while I’m lounging on the beach. God I can’t wait.
